In August of 2007 my wife and I came to a decision to sell our home of 12 years. We had located a new property and were sure this was the direction we wanted to go. Why we decided to sell in one of the worst real estate markets in ten years was not a consideration. Our past experience with Real Estate agents has not always been a good experience. We came to a decision by selecting someone I had come to know over a couple of weeks. That person was Kim Lynip, of Carolina Dream Living. On Kim’s first visit we shared with her our concerns of past real estate experiences. She listened and assured us that we would not find this to be true with her and the team. After signing the paperwork Kim and the team went to work.
They began to put the wheels in motion of all they had promised. Her teammate” Kelly Collins” showed up with camera and took multiple pictures of the home. Kim and Kelly made suggestions on improvements we could make and able to do in a short time before the pictures were made. If definitely enhanced the appearance of the home. The listing was entered into the listing organizations they had promised. Seven days from the initial signing of the contracts we had two showings. Out of those two showings one made an offer. Several counter offers were made and on the 8th day we had a signed contract. The time line was much shorter than I ever imagined in a slow market allowed us to purchase our new home without seeking a mortgage.
My past experience once a deal was signed always appeared that the agent began to work for the buyer. Not so with Kim and Kelly. They stayed engaged through the inspection and repair time lines and keeping the buyer’s agent updated to repair status. The personal touch was always present with these two even down to the final walk through. It was evident when the inspector tried to add more items to his list and Kim put her foot down. One of the items had to be taken care. My son was in a serious car accident and Kim took control of not only contacting the vendor but being at the house for the repair. All was completed and we went to settlement as planned. Even that process was one of the smoothest I have ever attended. This for us was evidence of the agents being engaged through the whole process and making sure they had a satisfied client.
Thank you Carolina Dream Living for keeping your commitment made at the signing of the contract. If I ever sell again you will be the ones I contact.
