Kim Lynip
Broker, Wife, Mother, Church Trustee. Born in a small town in the Adirondack Mountains of upstate NY, Kim has always been known for her enthusiasm, sharp wit, and her down-to-earth manner. Kim graduated from Houghton College in upstate NY with a degree in Psychology with a minor in Education. After marrying Bryan, her college sweetheart, the couple spent their first year of married life in Queens NY and thought a move south might be good for their future family. The move to North Carolina in 1996 proved providential. 3 children and 1 home-based business later, Kim decided to pursue her interest in real estate. She enrolled in a Real Estate course and passed the State Exam on the first go-round!
Kim is actively involved in church to include choir, children's ministries, social outreach, and board of trustees. While Waxhaw, NC is now “home”, she works with Sellers throughout the Charlotte & Union county areas, and has worked with Buyers all over the Greater Charlotte area. She enjoys being part of the team of pros at Wilkinson & Associates and especially loves her partners, Paul & Shelley deMontesquiou. Shelley deMontesquiou
Broker, Mom, CA Attorney, Author, Nurse, Girl Scout Leader, Active at Church Shelley started her career-life in nursing, specializing in pediatrics, obstetrics and public heath. She then went to law school and earned her JD and became an attorney. She practiced law in a variety of areas to include Professional Liability such as Medical Negligence, and Construction Defect Litigation dealing with Contractors and Subcontractors and the Building Industry. In law, she met her now husband Paul. Together they have 5 children to include a set of twins. She is co-author of the popular book “Heart two Heart” written about the first year of life with twins. Shelley and Paul have always had a real estate “hobby” and have enjoyed remodeling homes. So, together they took on yet another career as Realtors, while Paul also has a building/remodeling company.
Shelley also is actively involved as a Girl Scout Leader (where she knows how to sell cookies!), and is active in church as Sunday School teacher, Childrens Choir Director, Chair of Local Missions, and more.
Shelley is active in all phases of the Buy and Sell side of brokerage. With her background in redesign, she naturally sought her Staging certification. Shelley’s mantra for the seller who is listing is “It is all about the 3 P’s: Price, Pictures, and Presentation.” Her philosophy for buyers focuses on the Process (another P!), and being there to walk them through it.
Paul deMontesquiou
Broker, CA Attorney, Advocate, Negotiator. Paul is an Attorney from California who began his practice of law in 1978 and has represented a wide variety of clients in real estate for more than 30 years. Paul has negotiated matters of all kinds, In 2003, he and Shelley decided they wanted a richer life. For 2 years they studied America carefully. They chose to move their family to Charlotte in 2005 for the quality of life. With undergraduate study in psychology, and 32 years of law practice, Paul understands people.
In real estate, Paul loves to help people achieve their goals and dreams. He works with Buyers and Sellers. Paul’s understanding and broad experience in law, contracts, negotiations, and deal-making brings a creativity to our Buyers and Sellers rarely seen in real estate. His negotiating skills are unparalleled. He is known as “The Fireman”, as problem solving is his true specialty. In real estate, he is known for his negotiation talents and as the Deal-maker. And who would not want all that talent in their favor? Negotiator, Deal Maker, Advocate.... What else could one want in your broker?
